A Promotion Campaign for an Upcoming EdFringe Show

A Promotion Campaign for an Upcoming EdFringe Show

Brief

art*/ ɑ ː t / 𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘯 is a dance show that explores the journey of self-discovery through art and the pushing of creative and personal boundaries. After a preview at LIPA in April, the team will take it to the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe. This ongoing project aims to create promotional materials including social media posts, instagram reels, poster designs, show t-shirt designs, and more.

Concept

The promotional campaign and show design process are developing simultaneously. We discussed the direction of the posts, drawing inspiration from the show's aesthetic. The visual style combines mixed-media collage and double exposure, aligning with the show’s design concept and maintaining a sense of mystery for the audience.

Dance Trailer

Filmed during multiple dance rehearsals, the video focuses on rhythmic editing to reflect the energy of the dancers.

Handheld camera movements are intentionally kept to enhance motion and create a sense of presence.

With dynamic framing, varied angles, and moody colour grading, the trailer gives the audience a glimpse into the essence of the show, helping to build anticipation and excitement.

Preview Photos

The photos were taken and initially edited by Tashi Dema, capturing the essence of the performance with refined lighting and tone adjustments. I later re-edited the lighting and colours using Adobe Lightroom to better align with the desired visual tone of the project.
